Husharu 2 announced with Ashok Galla in lead role
The sequel to the 2018 Telugu youth entertainer ‘Husharu’ has been officially announced. Titled ‘Husharu 2’, the film will star Ashok Galla in the lead role, as reported by 123telugu.com. Sree Harsha Konuganti, who wrote and directed the original, returns to helm the sequel.
The makers have released a title poster that, according to m9.news, depicts five friends and imagery recalling the Samudra Manthan. M9.news reports that the story follows five friends who lose everything during COVID and start an agave-based tequila distillery in Chittragunj. The shoot is nearing completion and a year-end theatrical release is planned, according to m9.news.
Key cast members include Rahul Ramakrishna, Dinesh Tej, Abhignya Vuthaluri, and Vidhi Yadav, as per 123telugu.com. The film is produced by Caveman Stories, HK Films and Kaliyuga Vaaradha Creations.
Indian Opinion Analysis
The three outlets are uniform in reporting the sequel announcement, but m9.news is the only one to provide a detailed plot outline involving a tequila distillery, while 123telugu.com and telugucinema.com keep the story vague, calling it a fresh take on friendship and chaos. M9.news also names the largest cast and technical crew and specifies the year-end release window, making its report the most complete but also the most speculative in tone. The other two outlets stick to straight announcements with no plot details. Readers relying only on 123telugu.com or telugucinema.com would miss the COVID-backstory and the distillery venture entirely. The release date, yet to be set, is the concrete next step across all three reports.
