Indian boxers win 7 gold, Gulveer bags 5000m bronze at CWG

Indian boxers finished the Commonwealth Games 2026 with seven gold and three silver medals in Glasgow on Saturday, Sportstar reports. The boxing medal haul included golds for Preeti Pawar, Jaismine Lamboria, Sakshi Chaudhary, Priya Ghanghas, Arundhati Choudhary, Sachin Siwach, and Ankush Panghal.

On Day 10, India won 16 medals across boxing, athletics, and judo. Gulveer Singh won a bronze in the men's 5000m, adding to his earlier silver in the 10,000m. In athletics, Australia's Kurtis Marschall set a new Games record in men's pole vault at 5.85m.

India stood fourth in the medals tally after Day 10. The final day of the Games is Sunday, August 2, with several medal events still on offer.
