ITBP opens applications for 126 Constable posts under sports quota
The Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force has invited online applications for 126 Constable (General Duty) posts under its Sports Quota-2025 recruitment drive. The vacancies, under Group C, are open to Indian men and women across 28 sports disciplines including judo which leads with 12 posts, and boxing with nine. The pay scale is Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100 under Level 3.
Candidates must have passed matriculation and hold sports achievements from international, national, inter-university or Khelo India competitions between January 1, 2024, and November 1, 2026. The age limit is 18 to 23 years as on November 1, with relaxations of up to 10 years for SC/ST candidates. Applications are accepted at recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in until November 1, 2026, at 11.59 pm.
Indian Opinion Analysis
Women account for 54 of the 126 posts, with judo alone offering eight female vacancies. Candidates whose sports achievements fall between January 1, 2024, and November 1, 2026, are eligible. The absence of a written examination in the selection stages means merit will be determined entirely by documentation, physical tests, sports trials and medical checks. The application window closes on November 1, 2026.
