Jitendra Singh leads Tiranga Yatra to zero line on Indo-Pak border

Union minister Dr Jitendra Singh on Friday led a ‘Tiranga Yatra’ up to Zero Line along the Indo-Pak International Border in the Hiranagar sector of Kathua district. The rally ended at the zero point in Bobiya village, Hindustan Times reports.

Singh praised the dedication of Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, saying they keep the nation safe both during war and peace. He noted that despite historical cross-border firing, people live peacefully because BSF soldiers stay awake at night. The minister also commended the BSF for their flood relief work and was briefed about the force’s ‘Smart Border’ reinforcement initiative.

Singh said the yatra aligns with Prime Minister Modi’s vision of spreading patriotism. He highlighted development in Kathua and Jammu since 2014, including better connectivity, infrastructure, healthcare and education.
