प्रसंत महापात्रा यांनी मुंबईतील सिक्युरिटीज अँड एक्सचेंज बोर्ड ऑफ इंडिया (सेबी) येथे कार्यकारी संचालक म्हणून कार्यभार स्वीकारला आहे. ते सेबीच्या कॉर्पोरेशन फायनान्स तपास विभाग आणि वसुली व परतावा विभागाचे निरीक्षण करतील. महापात्रा एप्रिल १९९९ मध्ये सेबीमध्ये रुजू झाले.
