Nayanthara attends Toxic promo, may join Yash for interviews
Nayanthara surprised attendees at the Bengaluru promotional event of Yash’s upcoming gangster drama Toxic. She spoke about the film for nearly 20 minutes, one of her longest public speeches at a film event. The actress, who plays Yash’s sister in the 1960s Goa-set film, said she attended because of Yash’s four-year dedication and investment in the project.
According to telugucinema.com, Yash is now keen to bring Nayanthara on board for promotional interviews. The actress has largely avoided promotions throughout her career, with only rare exceptions like Sri Rama Rajyam. She is currently busy shooting for Salman Khan’s Hindi film directed by Vamshi Paidipally. The report notes it remains unclear if she will agree to further media appearances.
123telugu.com reports that a Telugu pre-release event for Toxic has been locked for August 22 at Malla Reddy University in Hyderabad, starting 5 PM. The film, directed by Geetu Mohandas and featuring Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Rukmini Vasanth, Huma Qureshi and Tara Sutaria, releases worldwide on August 26, 2026.
Indian Opinion Analysis
Both telugucinema.com and 123telugu.com present the same core news, Nayanthara’s rare promotional appearance, without any ideological slant. The coverage is uniform straight reporting, focusing on event details and her career patterns. The measured takeaway is that Toxic’s marketing is gaining momentum with Nayanthara’s involvement, but her past reluctance means interview participation is uncertain. The Telugu pre-release event on August 22 and the August 26 release are the concrete dates to watch.
