Nora Fatehi breaks down recalling trauma during Sukesh controversy

Nora Fatehi broke down in a podcast interview as she recounted feeling traumatised, alone and professionally damaged by her association with the Rs 200-crore Sukesh Chandrasekhar extortion and money laundering case. Speaking on the Dream with Dr Sheen podcast, the actress said untrue narratives that she knew the jailed conman, dated him and accepted gifts destroyed work she had spent decades building. She lost brands and opportunities she had worked towards for years.

"I was consistently scared of what my image is. I lost a lot of brands. I lost a lot of work," she said. The controversy lasted from 2018 to 2023, she said, and she only began rebuilding herself around 2024. She denied ever personally knowing Chandrasekhar or accepting gifts for personal reasons. She described the public as "really, really cruel" during that period and said much of what is written about her personal life is fake. She has not faced any charges in the case.
