Nora Fatehi breaks silence on ‘Sarke Chunar’ controversy

Nora Fatehi has said she knew who orchestrated the backlash against the song 'Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke' from the film 'KD: The Devil'. Speaking on the 'Dream with Dr Sheen' podcast, the actress said, 'I already know who hired you, when, and how much they paid you,' and suggested the controversy was not organic. She claimed that much of the outrage was based on brief clips and AI-generated images, not the full song.

Fatehi had earlier released a video message distancing herself from the Hindi version of the track. She said she originally shot the song in Kannada three years ago and that the Hindi lyrics were added without her permission. 'I did not perform to it, and there was no permission taken to use it with my image,' she wrote. The actress acknowledged that such songs are produced every day but added she was not defending the content.
