Pakistan rebuilding JeM camp destroyed in Operation Sindoor: reports

Pakistan has rebuilt the main camp of the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror group in Bahawalpur, which was destroyed by Indian surgical strikes in April 2025 under Operation Sindoor. Photos and videos circulating on social media show the 'Markaz Subhanalla' complex now featuring new paint, marble flooring and modern amenities, with reconstruction completed in roughly 15 months.

The complex was a key target of Operation Sindoor, which India launched after the Pahalgam terror attack in J&K on April 22, 2025, that killed 26 civilians. Reports, citing sources, say Pakistan provided Rs 25 crore in funding to JeM, with Rs 11 crore alone spent on rebuilding the Bahawalpur facility.

India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval has warned of consequences if cross-border terrorism is revived. Amid JeM chief Masood Azhar's illness, his brothers Talha al-Saif and Ammar Alvi are now said to be running the group's operations. Whether India will launch a second phase of Operation Sindoor is now a key question.
