Yash’s Toxic to release on April 26 after grand pre-event

Producer KVN has expressed full confidence in the world created by Yash and director Geetu Mohandas for the upcoming film Toxic. Speaking at the film's grand pre-release event in Hyderabad, KVN said the movie was born out of an ambitious vision backed by enormous effort and conviction. He praised Yash's ambition to take Indian cinema onto the global stage and credited the director with bringing emotional depth to the film. The film is set to hit screens on April 26.

At the same event, Yash urged students to dream big and work towards their goals whole-heartedly. NDTV reports he also said cinema should not be taken seriously, which became instantly viral on social media. The comment drew attention as the film had courted controversy for its 'bold' content since its trailer release.

During Yash's address, a large sound box setup fell into the crowd, leaving two students injured. Yash stopped his speech to check on them, and police rushed the injured to hospital. He also asked students to come down from unsafe structures. The film was originally scheduled for June 4 but was pushed back due to the Middle East conflict, with makers citing an overwhelming global response at CinemaCon.
