Priyanka Upendra, Nishvika Naidu to debut in web series

Priyanka Upendra and Nishvika Naidu are the latest Kannada film actors to move into the web series space, reports Cinema Express. Priyanka is shooting for Corporate Love Story, a 50-episode series inspired by Korean romantic dramas. Nishvika will star in Operation Bangari, which is based on a real incident.

Other Kannada actors have already made the transition. Sanjana Anand moved from web series to films, while Kushee Ravi of Dia fame starred in the family drama Ayyana Mane, whose second season is in production. Nagabhushana recently led the web series Jerax with Srinidhi Bengaluru.

Streaming platforms are giving actors longer narratives and varied characters beyond the two-hour theatrical format, the report says. For filmmakers, the format allows stories that do not fit neatly into cinema releases.
