R Ashwin’s top 3 India Test batters picks exclude Gavaskar

Former India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has stirred debate by leaving Sunil Gavaskar out of his top three Test batters for India. In a video on Cricinfo, Ashwin named Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Virat Kohli as his top three, admitting the choice would be hard for some to accept.

Gavaskar, India's first cricketer to cross 10,000 Test runs, scored 10,122 runs in 125 Tests at an average of 51.12 with 34 centuries. Tendulkar holds records with 15,921 runs in over 200 Tests, Dravid scored 13,288 runs in 164 Tests, and Kohli has 9,230 runs in 123 Tests with 30 centuries.
