Animal Park shoot to begin six months after Spirit release

Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal Park', the sequel to the 2023 blockbuster 'Animal', will not begin shooting until at least six months after the release of his upcoming film 'Spirit'. Pranay Reddy Vanga, the director's brother and producer, confirmed the timeline in an interview with NTV Telugu. 'Spirit', starring Prabhas, is scheduled for release on March 5, 2027, meaning filming for 'Animal Park' is likely to start in late 2027.

Pranay Reddy Vanga said the team will take a six-month break after 'Spirit' before beginning work on the sequel. He also noted that director Sandeep Reddy Vanga writes slowly, making it difficult to provide a strict timeline. NDTV reports that Ranbir Kapoor will play a dual role in 'Animal Park', which will continue directly from where the first film ended.

Cinema Express additionally reported that Pranay Reddy Vanga addressed the exit of Deepika Padukone from 'Spirit', citing disagreements over remuneration and timing. The producer also indicated that actor Prakash Raj has left the project. Ranbir Kapoor has a packed schedule ahead, including 'Ramayana: Part 1' and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Love & War', both expected in 2027.
