RJD mocks Bihar minister Nishant Kumar over flag-hoisting video

The Rashtriya Janata Dal on Sunday attacked Bihar health minister Nishant Kumar, sharing a video of his Independence Day flag-hoisting gesture and asking, "Who is the health minister saluting?" The opposition party, led by Lalu Yadav, posted the clip on its official account, adding, "And to whom is he turning his back?"

Nishant Kumar, the son of former chief minister Nitish Kumar, joined the Bihar cabinet soon after Samrat Choudhary became chief minister, with Nitish moving to the Rajya Sabha. Times of India reports that this is not the first time the JD(U) leader has faced scrutiny from the opposition over his public gestures.
