Rohan Jadhav Arrested In Rs 10.74 Crore Crypto Scam

Cyber fraudster 'Reel Star' Rohan Jadhav has been arrested in connection with a Rs 10.74 crore digital arrest scam that targeted a senior citizen. The fraud began in January this year when a gang posing as Central Bureau of Investigation officers contacted the victim and told him he was named in a criminal case.

The scammers demanded payment in cryptocurrency and routed the money through Hong Kong-linked accounts to avoid detection. NDTV Profit reports that Jadhav, known online as 'Reel Star', played a key role in the operation. Police are investigating his links to larger cyber crime networks.

Authorities are now tracking the flow of funds to other possible victims. Jadhav remains in custody as the investigation continues.
