Romanchakam trailer launched, film to release on September 3
The trailer of Romanchakam, presented by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, was launched on August 25 at AMB Cinemas in Hyderabad. The film stars Sumanth Prabhas and Ananthika Sanilkumar, and is directed by debutant Venu Gopal Reddy. Produced by Pranay Reddy Vanga under Bhadrakali Pictures, the film is described as a youthful entertainer blending romance, comedy and suspense.
The trailer shows the protagonist as a young entrepreneur running a dating startup who falls in love with the female lead from Chennai. 123telugu.com reports the film looks refreshing compared to the banner's earlier violence-heavy films. Greatandhra.com and telugu360.com highlight the supporting cast, Venkatesh Kakumanu and Narendra Ravi, and their Telangana-flavoured comedy. At the launch event, Sandeep Reddy Vanga said working with Prabhas on Spirit is his most romanchakam moment.
Industry buzz, cited by 123telugu.com, says the makers have already recovered a major portion of their investment through non-theatrical deals. Romanchakam is set for a worldwide theatrical release on September 3, 2026.
Indian Opinion Analysis
Coverage is uniformly promotional, with every source framing the trailer launch positively. Telugu360.com and greatandhra.com lead with the film's entertainment quotient, while 123telugu.com adds the business angle of recovered investment. Tracktollywood.com and m9.news emphasise Sandeep Reddy Vanga's backing as a credibility marker. No critical or skeptical framing appears anywhere. The film's box office performance from September 3 will test whether the pre-release buzz converts to footfalls, especially for a debutant director's small-budget film.
