Sania Mirza’s ‘socialising against will’ post for son goes viral

Tennis star Sania Mirza shared an Instagram Reel in which she joked that she was forced to socialise 'against her will' for an extra hour while waiting for her son, Izhaan Mirza Malik, to finish football practice. The video shows Sania holding Izhaan's bag as he chats with friends, with the caption: 'We should have left an hour ago, bro.' The post has gone viral.

Many social media users, especially women, related to the post. One called it a chapter in 'The Motherhood Chronicles'. Another user said: 'Here's a mother, and she will adjust herself to every situation because of her kid.' Sania and Shoaib Malik welcomed Izhaan in October 2018 and announced their separation in 2024. Izhaan lives with Sania in India.

In a recent podcast episode, Sania asked her parents what Plan B was if her tennis career had failed. Her mother, Nasima Mirza, replied: 'Get you married.' Sania cheekily responded: 'Well, that didn't work out.'
