POK will become part of India, public slogans go viral

Patriotic slogans raised by residents of Keran sector in Kupwara district, near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, have gone viral on social media. Tupaki.com reports that locals shouted 'Sare Jahan se Achha' and 'Bharat Mata ki Jai', with some accounts claiming the chants were clearly heard by residents of Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) on the other side.

The incident has revived discussion on PoK, which the Indian government and multiple political parties have consistently stated is an integral part of India. Netizens described the public unity as a reply to Pakistani propaganda, according to Tupaki.com. The footage shows a shift in the border region, where improved security and development such as border tourism have changed the atmosphere in what was once a zone of militancy and tension.

Analysts cited by the outlet view the slogans as reflecting public aspirations regarding future diplomatic and political developments. The patriotic display has been described as a symbol of national unity and the construction of a 'New Kashmir'.
