The squad also features players from the recent Australia U19 series.
India are placed in Group A with Pakistan, Nepal and UAE. Their first match is against Nepal on 6 November, followed by Pakistan on 8 November and UAE on 10 November, all at the Oman Cricket Academy. The semi-finals are on 12 November and the final on 14 November. Pakistan are the defending champions, having beaten India in the 2025 final.
Indian Opinion Analysis
Both bhaskar.com and tv9hindi.com present the India U19 Asia Cup squad announcement as straight news, leading with the inclusion of Virender Sehwag’s son Aryavir and Rahul Dravid’s son Anvay. Bhaskar.com opens with the captaincy appointment of Lakshya Raichandani and provides a full team list in a structured, agency-style format. Tv9hindi.com adds a historical note that India has won the tournament eight times and frames the upcoming Pakistan match as a ‘revenge’ opportunity after the 2025 final loss. The outlets differ only in emphasis: bhaskar.com is strictly factual, while tv9hindi.com slightly foregrounds the rivalry. The coverage is otherwise uniform wire copy with no editorial slant. India will face Pakistan in their second group match on 8 November in Muscat.
