Sonata Software appoints Hariprasad Rebala as Chief AI Officer

Sonata Software has appointed Hariprasad Rebala as its Chief AI Officer, the Bengaluru-based mid-tier IT services firm said. Rebala will lead the company's end-to-end AI-led business transformation, including strategy, offerings, service delivery, platforms, and partnerships. His focus will be on driving AI-native delivery and helping enterprises turn AI adoption into measurable business value.

Rebala brings over three decades of experience across IT services, enterprise technology, and startups. He previously served as Chief of AI Solutions and Growth at a deep-tech AI startup and co-founded Forfend, building IoT and conversational AI platforms. He has also held senior leadership roles at Mindtree, Capgemini, and Wipro, scaling businesses and leading large transformation programmes, especially in Banking and Financial Services.

CEO Rajsekhar Datta Roy said Rebala's addition strengthens the executive team as Sonata rapidly transforms into an AI-native organisation. Rebala stated that AI is moving from experimentation to becoming fundamental for enterprise competition and value creation, and he will focus on building differentiated AI capabilities with customers and partners.
