Suriya’s Vishwanath and Sons grosses Rs 75 crore in two days

Suriya’s family drama Vishwanath and Sons has crossed Rs 75 crore worldwide in its first two days. Telugucinema.com reports an India gross of Rs 43 crore and a worldwide total of Rs 76 crore, while TrackTollywood puts the two-day India figure at Rs 45 crore and worldwide at Rs 75 crore, with overseas actuals still pending. The Telugu version alone contributed about Rs 10 crore on day two, almost matching the Tamil version’s take, a notable achievement for a dubbed film.

The film, directed by Venky Atluri and produced by Naga Vamsi, has received strong reviews. 123telugu.com says Suriya’s restrained performance as Sanjay Vishwanath, a wealthy businessman who decides to have a child through a surrogate, has won over critics and audiences.
