Tamil Nadu releases Class 10, 12 board exam schedule for 2027
School Education Minister Rajmohan on Wednesday, 14 October, released the schedule for the 2027 SSLC (Class 10) and Plus-2 board examinations in Tamil Nadu. Plus-2 exams begin on 3 March with language papers and conclude on 29 March, with practicals from 8 to 18 February. Plus-1 arrears exams run from 5 March to 1 April. SSLC examinations start on 17 March and end on 12 April, with practicals from 19 to 26 February. Results are expected on 7 May for Plus-2 and Plus-1, and on 20 May for SSLC. Over 15 lakh students are to appear for the examinations this academic year.
Indian Opinion Analysis
Both Daily Thanthi and Hindu Tamil report the exam schedule identically, covering dates for Class 10, Plus-1 arrears and Plus-2 exams alongside practical exams and result dates. Neither outlet gives the schedule any political or critical framing: each treats the announcement as a straight factual handout from minister Rajmohan. Daily Thanthi adds the context that the schedule is usually released in October, while Hindu Tamil prints subject-by-subject date lists. The uniform coverage leaves no framing tension between the sources. The key watch-item is the schedule itself: Class 10 exams run 17 March to 12 April 2027, with results on 20 May 2027.
