Tiger movement triggers panic in Devarshola tea garden

Foresters are on alert after a tiger was spotted moving in a tea garden at Devarshola in Gudalur, Tamil Nadu, sparking fear among workers and residents. The sighting comes days after a man-eater tiger struck in the O'Valley area of Gudalur.

"Deccan Chronicle" reports that the recent weeks have seen a surge in man-animal conflicts in the Gudalur and Pandalur limits. Following complaints from locals in Devarshola, forest officials have deployed a team to monitor the big cat and installed camera traps at vantage points.

The forest department is continuing its search for the earlier man-eater tiger while keeping watch over the new movement. No attack has been reported from the Devarshola area.
