Jharkhand govt invites agitating students for talks today

The Jharkhand government has invited students protesting alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations for fresh talks on Monday. The decision came after the Sub-Divisional Officer and ADM, Law and Order met students at the Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium, the protest site, on Sunday. The talks are scheduled for 2 pm at the State Guest House.

The 'JPSC-JSSC Reforms Manch', which is leading the protest, said the agitators have accepted the proposal and will attend with their legal advisor. Manch leader Ravindra Paswan said they are firm on two demands: a CBI probe into recruitment test irregularities and cancellation of the JSSC-CGL exams. The last round of talks on August 9 failed to reach a breakthrough. The protests entered their 23rd day on Sunday.
