Two MP school students ill after worm-infested I-Day laddus

Two children fell ill after eating laddus infested with worms that were distributed at a school's Independence Day event in Madhya Pradesh's Indore district, officials said. An eight-year-old girl at the middle school in Songuradia village first spotted worms in her sweet and alerted others, after which villagers stopped the distribution.

A video of the contaminated laddus has gone viral on social media. Police and Food Department officials seized the remaining sweets, collected samples for testing, and sealed the shop that supplied them. An investigation into the preparation and supply of the sweets is underway.
