UPSSSC selects 50 junior assistants, cuts vacancies to 54

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) on Friday declared the final result for the Junior Assistant recruitment in the Industrial Development Department, selecting 50 candidates from a revised vacancy of 54 posts. The Commission had initially invited applications for 62 posts but reduced the number following a revised requisition from the department.

Of the selected candidates, 34 are from the Unreserved category, 3 from Scheduled Castes, 1 from Scheduled Tribes, 7 from Other Backward Classes and 5 from the Economically Weaker Sections. The category-wise cut-off marks were also released, with the Unreserved cut-off at 65 marks. The Commission said the selection process followed prescribed rules, merit and reservation provisions. The result remains subject to orders in pending petitions before the High Court. Five candidates have been selected provisionally, pending the Commission's final decision.
