Yash credits Geetu Mohandas for pushing him beyond comfort zone

Kannada star Yash has praised filmmaker Geetu Mohandas for pushing him out of his comfort zone while working on the upcoming film Toxic. Yash said Geetu, who comes across as strict but is jovial, created an atmosphere on set that challenged him as an actor. He credited her with helping him learn English lines and explore a character unlike any he had played before.

Women directors remain rare in collaborations with A-list stars across Telugu, Tamil and Kannada cinema. Yash is among the few Kannada A-listers to have worked with a woman director, and he said he needed to thank Geetu for pushing him to evolve as a performer.
