Wife alleges murder after man found dead on Chhatarpur railway track

The body of 45-year-old Rakesh Khare was found on a railway track in the Civil Line police station area of Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, on Wednesday, and police registered a case of unnatural death, the Free Press Journal reported. His wife, Mamta Khare, alleged murder, saying he had received threats after a dispute the previous day with women from the neighbourhood over a temple religious programme, and that neighbours Swadesh Vishwakarma and Jagdish Vishwakarma then came to her house and kicked and hit the gate. She said she called Dial-112 and has videos of the dispute saved on her phone. The next day, while going to complain about the dispute, she was called to the district hospital and told Khare had died after being hit by a train. In a written complaint, she alleged that people involved in the dispute had threatened to get her husband killed and falsely implicate him. Civil Line police station in-charge Ashutosh Shrotiya said the cause of death would be clear only after the investigation.
