Amit Shah hails crackdown on ISI-backed terror network

Union home minister Amit Shah on Monday hailed the security forces for dismantling the ISI-backed Shahzad Bhatti terror network ahead of Independence Day. In a post on X, Shah said coordinated operations across 14 states led to the arrest of more than 200 operatives and thwarted plans for subversive attacks.

Substantial recoveries included IEDs, grenades bearing Pakistan Ordnance Factory markings, pistols, live cartridges, and CCTV cameras used for espionage, according to Shah. He described the network as ISI-funded and said the crackdown demonstrated the government's zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism.
