BJP replaces Amit Malviya as IT cell chief, names Deepak Mhaskey

The BJP on Monday replaced Amit Malviya as its national IT cell chief after over a decade, appointing Deepak Mhaskey from Chhattisgarh as his successor in a major organisational reshuffle, reports Livemint. Mhaskey, a former chemistry professor with experience in agriculture, horticulture, and electoral data analysis, will also handle social media responsibilities, according to India Today.

The party appointed four new social media coordinators: Priti Gandhi (Maharashtra), Shivanand Dwivedi (Delhi), Alok Bhatt (Uttarakhand), and Arun Yadav (Haryana). Anil Baluni continues as Media Convenor. The changes are part of a wider restructuring that includes 13 new national vice presidents, with Piyush Goyal as national treasurer and Vinod Tawde among the new general secretaries.
