Amitabh Bachchan reveals how he avoids Jaya’s scolding on KBC 18

Amitabh Bachchan has shared how he avoids being scolded by his wife, veteran actor Jaya Bachchan, when he returns home late. The revelation came during a recent episode of the quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati 18, where a contestant asked the host about his homecoming routine.

Bachchan said he sends a message to a family group chat every morning to inform them about his shoot schedule. “I know what is going to happen, so what I do is, as soon as I wake up… I send a message saying, ‘Namaskar’ with folded hands… I inform all beforehand, and that saves me,” he said. He added that if he does not inform her, Jaya scolds him and asks, “Where were you? You didn’t inform us. Is this the time to come home?”

The actor also revealed that he handles household chores like cleaning when staff are unavailable. “I don’t know how to cook, so sometimes we order food from outside, or sometimes I ask Jaya, ‘Deviji, please make something,’” he said, adding that she gets excited and makes different dishes for him every day.
