Balakrishna-Koratala film NBK112 faces budget issues, possible shelving

The much-anticipated film NBK112, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and directed by Koratala Siva, is reportedly facing uncertainty due to budget concerns. According to m9.news, the project was planned on a budget of around Rs 150 crore, making it one of Balakrishna's most expensive films. The actor is said to be increasingly cautious about high-budget risks and is considering reducing the scale or dropping the project.

Beyond budget, industry sources cited by m9.news also point to creative differences between Balakrishna and Koratala Siva. While budget concerns are publicly cited, a lack of proper creative sync is reportedly a deeper issue. There is no official confirmation that the film has been shelved, all reports remain speculative.

The uncertainty comes after Koratala Siva's recent film Devara, starring Jr NTR, was a commercial hit but received criticism after its OTT release. Siva, once known for hits like Mirchi and Srimanthudu, suffered a setback with Acharya. If shelved, NBK112 would be another blow to his efforts to rebuild his standing in Tollywood.
