ACP Dashashwamedh, Dr Atul Anjan Tripathi, said the water level was recorded at 64.70 metres on Saturday morning and was rising at about 6 cm per hour.

The decision was taken as a safety measure for passengers and boat operators. The Water Police are monitoring the situation. No resumption date has been announced.
