BRS finds thousands of Indiramma sarees dumped in cantonment godowns

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders on Friday visited godowns at Cantonment Workshop in Secunderabad Cantonment and alleged that thousands of Indiramma sarees meant for women had been locked away for nine months. BRS spokesperson Manne Krishank said the sarees were supposed to be distributed in November 2025 but were left to rats. He accused the Congress government of wasting public money and demanded immediate distribution by local MLA N. Sri Ganesh.

Telanganatoday.com reports that the BRS contrasted this with the previous KCR government, which distributed Bathukamma sarees before Dasara and Bathukamma festivities. The Congress government had announced that one crore Indiramma sarees would be distributed across Telangana.
