Chhattisgarh man axes parents to death, packs bodies in sack

A man hacked his elderly parents to death with an axe following an argument at their home in Chhattisgarh's Surguja district on Monday. The accused repeatedly struck his father Hiradhar Yadav, 60, and mother Gulabi, causing severe head, neck and body injuries. The couple died on the spot, police said.

After the murder, the accused stuffed the bodies into a sack and was preparing to dispose of them when his brother and some villagers arrived. The accused fled the house, leaving the bodies behind. Villagers opened the sack and found the bodies, with blood splattered across the house.

The brother informed police, who recovered the bodies and registered a murder case. A search for the accused is underway.
