Delhi CM launches single-window portal for 8 lakh businesses

Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta on Monday launched the Delhi Udyog Mitra Portal, a single-window digital platform designed to simplify approvals, registrations and licences for around 8 lakh businesses and entrepreneurs in the capital. The portal aims to reduce repeated visits to government offices by centralising regulatory services through a single interface.

Currently integrated with more than 50 services from 15 departments, the portal plans to expand to over 100 services across 21 departments by next month, according to industries minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa. Integration with the National Single Window System will allow businesses to access both central and Delhi government approvals on one platform.

Key features include single sign-on, a common application form, a feature to identify required approvals, applicant and departmental dashboards, and a guidance module. Gupta said the portal aligns with the Make in India vision and will be further expanded through service integration and process simplification.
