ED chargesheets EaseMyTrip co-founder Nishant Pitti in Mahadev betting case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has named EaseMyTrip co-founder Nishant Pitti as an accused in its fifth supplementary chargesheet in the Mahadev online betting app money laundering case. The agency alleges Pitti helped route illegal betting proceeds from Skyexchange into the Indian equity market disguised as foreign portfolio investments and manipulated Easy Trip Planners' share price. The ED has provisionally attached shares worth Rs 59.60 crore held in Pitti's demat account and sought court permission to confiscate them as proceeds of crime.

The chargesheet, filed before a special PMLA court in Raipur on September 10, names 42 individuals and companies. Pitti said he was unaware of any chargesheet and had not been summoned, adding he would contest the allegations in court and submit evidence of his bona fide conduct. Easy Trip Planners said it had not received formal intimation of legal proceedings. The ED earlier searched Pitti's premises in April 2025 and questioned him three times.
