Faria Abdullah breaks down after Bonalu trolling

Telugu actress Faria Abdullah broke down in an Instagram video on Independence Day, responding to backlash for participating in Bonalu celebrations at Hyderabad's Sri Simhavahini Mahankali Temple on August 9. She addressed trolls who called her a 'kaafir' for questioning her religious beliefs.

Abdullah, whose Hindu father converted to Islam, explained her upbringing and said she sees divinity in everything around her. 'I see life in trees, rocks, butterflies, if that doesn't make you believe more in God, you're missing out,' she said, urging love and unity.

The Jathi Ratnalu star said her rebellion is to be aggressive about love and send love to those hating on her. She recalled asking her mother as a child what Allah means, and being told: 'It means light. It means everything everywhere all at once.'
