Delhi trader stabbed to death in parking dispute

A fruit trader was allegedly stabbed to death in a parking dispute at a market in Gurugram on Sunday morning. Millennium Post reports that Bharat Bhushan, 55, had parked his truck outside his shop at Khandsa Mandi when neighbour Jai Bhagwan asked him to move it. The argument escalated, and Bhagwan allegedly attacked Bhushan with a pickaxe, stabbing him multiple times in the stomach and chest. Bhushan died at hospital. CCTV captured the incident, and police have registered an FIR and launched a search for the accused.

In a separate incident, Times of India reports that on the night of August 14, a 43-year-old vegetable seller, Des Raj, was stabbed to death at the Sector 26 grain and vegetable market in Chandigarh. The main accused, Vinod, a commission agent from Uttar Pradesh, and his sons allegedly attacked Des Raj with a knife after a parking argument. Des Raj was declared dead on arrival at hospital. Police have filed a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and are investigating. Both cases involve fatal violence over parking disputes in wholesale markets.
