Indian men’s cricket team faces kit sizing issue ahead of Asian Games

Members of the Indian men's cricket team are awaiting correctly sized kits ahead of their departure for the Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan. The Shreyas Iyer-led side is scheduled to leave from New Delhi early on Sunday, September 20. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Indian Olympic Association's kit supplier, JSW Inspire, have been in discussion over the issue, according to PTI. An IOA source told PTI that most of the sizing problems have been rectified, with a few remaining jerseys to be delivered shortly.

Players need two different jerseys: their standard T20I kit for the one-off match against Japan on September 22, and a separate official Asian Games jersey for the tournament starting September 28. Separately, the BCCI has made its own hotel arrangements for the men's team after delays faced by other Indian athletes in securing accommodation. The women's team, however, is staying in IOA-provided accommodation. India has a direct entry into the quarter-finals of the men's cricket event on September 28.
