Apple and Google are set to clash again in the flagship smartphone market with the iPhone 18 Pro Max and the Pixel 11 Pro XL. Bazaar.businesstoday.in reports that the Pixel 11 Pro XL has been officially unveiled globally, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to launch in September, based on past trends. Both devices target users seeking top performance, advanced cameras and AI features.

The iPhone 18 Pro Max is reported to feature a 6.9-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and a smaller Dynamic Island. It is expected to run on Apple's A20 Pro chip built on a 2nm process, paired with 12GB RAM. The camera could include a variable aperture main lens. The Pixel 11 Pro XL offers a Super Actua display with peak brightness of 3,600 nits and an anti-scratch coating. It runs on Google's Tensor G6 processor and includes a 48MP telephoto camera that captures 30% more light, along with 5x Portrait Mode and 120x Pro Zoom.

Pricing and availability differ. According to the outlet, the Pixel 11 Pro XL has a global starting price of $1,299 and will be available from August 20 on Google Store and retail partners. Indian pricing is yet to be announced. For the iPhone 18 Pro Max, estimates based on leaks suggest a starting price of around Rs 1,39,900 for the Pro model, up Rs 5,000 from the previous generation. However, Apple has not confirmed any specifications or prices.
