iQOO 16 tipped with 165Hz display, revamped camera design

The iQOO 16 is expected to launch in September with a 165Hz refresh rate screen, according to tipster Digital Chat Station. Both gadgets360.com and gsmarena.com report the claim, which says the phone will have a 6.85-inch flat 2K Samsung display, up from 144Hz on the iQOO 15. The rear camera module is said to be redesigned as a small, square-shaped unit in the top-left corner.

The tipster also reiterated that the iQOO 16 will be powered by Qualcomm's unannounced 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chip. Other leaked features include an 8,500 mAh battery with 100W wired charging, wireless charging, a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, and a dedicated graphics chip. The primary camera is being tested with a 50MP OmniVision OV50Q sensor. The handset was recently spotted on China's 3C certification website, hinting at an imminent launch.
