Jagan Boycotts Andhra Assembly Over LoP Status

YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy will skip the Andhra Pradesh Assembly monsoon session starting August 17, demanding recognition as Leader of the Opposition. Party spokesman Ambati Rambabu stated, 'Dammunte Jagan ki opposition leader status ivvandi'. The Speaker rejected the demand in March 2025 as YSRCP has only 11 MLAs, far short of the 18 required.

The boycott extends to the Mega DSC teacher recruitment controversy, where Jagan is demanding a CBI probe and targeting education minister Nara Lokesh. Lokesh has challenged Jagan to debate the issue in the House.
