Pakistan rebuilds JeM Bahawalpur base hit in Operation Sindoor
Jaish-e-Mohammed's Markaz Subhan Allah complex in Bahawalpur, Pakistan, has been rebuilt months after being hit by Indian precision strikes during Operation Sindoor in May 2025. Videos and intelligence inputs show new halls, domes, marble floors and fresh paint at the facility, which served as the terror group's operational headquarters.
Times Now reports Pakistan provided about 250 million PKR (approx Rs 25 crore) for reconstruction, with over 100 million PKR used for the central complex. Mathrubhumi, citing intelligence inputs, says the Pakistani establishment gave around Rs 25 crore in cash instalments, of which about Rs 11 crore went to rebuilding the central hall. The complex now appears ready for regular use by JeM.
Indian Opinion Analysis
Both outlets report the same facts: JeM's Bahawalpur headquarters is rebuilt, Pakistan reportedly provided funds. Times Now leads with JeM's base being operational again, while Mathrubhumi leads with Pakistan's role in reconstruction. Neither challenges or verifies the intelligence claims. The underlying implication that state support for JeM continues despite its UN terror designation is left for the reader to draw. The next question is whether India will respond to the reconstruction.
