JILT journal at MG University calls for papers for 2026 volume

The Journal of Indian Legal Thought (JILT), published by the School of Indian Legal Thought at Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, has invited submissions for its 20th volume, scheduled for 2026. The deadline for submissions is 30th September 2026.

JILT, a UGC CARE-listed, double-blind peer-reviewed journal first published in 2003, is seeking articles (7,000, 12,000 words), case notes and legislative comments (1,500, 3,000 words), and book reviews (1,500, 3,000 words). All word limits include footnotes. Co-authorship is allowed for up to two authors. Manuscripts must be original and accompanied by a plagiarism report showing similarity of up to 10 per cent.

Submissions should be in MS Word format, Times New Roman, font size 12, with 1.5 line spacing, and must follow the Bluebook (21st edition) citation style.
