Jr NTR recovering well after shoulder surgery, 2-3 months rest advised

Telugu actor Jr NTR underwent successful arthroscopic shoulder surgery on August 12 at KIMS Hospitals in Secunderabad, after sustaining an injury during the shoot of his upcoming film Dragon in July 2026. The surgery was led by Dr. R. A. Purnachandra Tejaswi, Director and Head of Sports Orthopaedics & Arthroscopy at KIMS. The actor was discharged the following day and has begun a structured rehabilitation programme.

Pinkvilla reports that Jr NTR was admitted for the surgery after the injury on the Dragon sets. The actor later said he was 'overwhelmed by love and prayers'. Dr. Tejaswi has advised a recovery period of two to three months, during which Jr NTR will undergo gradual strengthening exercises and physiotherapy to restore full shoulder function.

The actor's next film, Dragon, directed by Prashanth Neel, is scheduled for worldwide release on June 11, 2027. Production was temporarily paused after the injury. The medical team expects a complete recovery within the projected timeframe.
