Kamala Nehru College holds foundation week for freshers

Kamala Nehru College, University of Delhi, conducted a week-long foundation programme, Deeksharambh, from August 10-14 for first-year students. The programme, based on the college motto 'There is no salvation without knowledge', aimed to introduce students to the academic environment and values. The first day, themed 'Delhi is a Safe Place', featured S.I Kiran Sethi, a Taekwondo expert, who gave personal safety and self-defence tips.

Day two covered 'Human Values & Mental Wellbeing' with Prof. Anirban Dash, Director of the National Mission for Manuscripts, speaking on India's script heritage and developing 'Vivek' (discernment). Day three included a welcome by Principal Prof. Pavitra Bhardwaj and an anti-ragging skit by the theatre society Lakshya. Day four focused on women's health through the 'Nirog Nari' campaign by Dr Deepika of the Ridhima Foundation. The final day had buddy mentoring and a Cultural Fair introducing co-curricular societies.
