Kodad mega job mela offers 3,500 opportunities for rural youth

Telangana irrigation minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy announced on Friday that a mega job mela will be held in Kodad on September 19, aiming to bring over 3,500 job opportunities from more than 300 companies to rural youth from five districts. The event is being organised in coordination with Kodad MLA N Padmavathi Reddy and with support from The Singareni Collieries Company Limited and the Industries Department.

Jobseekers from Suryapet, Nalgonda, Yadadri-Bhongir, Khammam and Bhadradri-Kothagudem districts will be able to interact directly with employers and attend interviews. The initiative seeks to reduce barriers for graduates in engineering, pharmacy and management, as well as diploma holders, who often struggle to find vacancies and travel to Hyderabad for interviews.

Separately, assembly speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar on Saturday said the job mela, which saw around 350 companies participate, had opened new employment opportunities for unemployed youth. He called for similar recruitment drives across the state and noted the Congress government under chief minister A Revanth Reddy had already filled more than 60,000 vacancies and would continue issuing recruitment notifications.
