Ronaldo wedding certificate shows four witnesses, prenup signed

Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez married in a private civil ceremony at their Cascais home on August 11, with a marriage certificate obtained by Jornal de Noticias revealing four witnesses were present. The document names Ronaldo's longtime friend Miguel Paixao, Georgina's sister Ivana Rodriguez, Spanish jeweller Jose Rodriguez Sangil and his wife Monica Gonzalez Martinez as the witnesses, according to the Times of India. Ronaldo's mother Dolores Aveiro and his sisters Elma and Katia were absent.

The certificate shows the couple signed a prenuptial agreement on August 10, choosing a separation of property regime, and that they did not adopt each other's surnames. They list Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as their usual residence. Hindustan Times reports that Vogue published the first images of the ceremony, which included a mass blessing, and that Georgina told the magazine the couple plan a larger celebration with family and friends in the future.

Portuguese TV presenter Cristina Ferreira claimed on the programme Dois as Dez that Ronaldo's family may have known about the wedding only '30 seconds beforehand', the Times of India reports. The couple have five children: Cristiano Jr, twins Eva and Mateo, Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda.
