Lokesh calls for joint effort to realise ‘Swarnandhra’ vision

IT Minister Nara Lokesh urged people to work together to achieve 'Swarnandhra' and promised to improve government educational institutions. He hoisted the Tricolour at Makineni Basava Punnaiah Stadium in Vijayawada on Saturday, the 80th Independence Day, and received a guard of honour.

Lokesh recalled the sacrifices of freedom fighters and highlighted reforms in government schools. He said 1.10 lakh students had moved from private to government institutions after changes to the curriculum and the introduction of kits named after Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and mid-day meals named after Dokka Seethamma. He also distributed certificates to 275 officers.

In Machilipatnam, Excise Minister Kollu Ravindra hoisted the Tricolour and said the government prioritised women, farmers, and weaker sections. At the NDRF 10th Battalion headquarters, Commandant V.V.N. Prasanna Kumar read out names of personnel receiving President's and Police Medals. Students at Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies also celebrated.
